Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your brand and its identity. Who is it aimed at? I studied jewellery design and silversmithing at The school of Jewellery in Birmingham and I set up ILoveKitsch after leaving university. ILoveKitsch is now in it's 10th year and I still love making new bits and bobs! I like to make really different fun pieces of jewellery and use old game pieces and toys in lots of the designs I make. Nothing is safe - plastic animals to domino pieces and plectrums are all used to create new and interesting jewellery items. ILoveKitsch is aimed at anyone who wants something a little different and quirky! What/who inspired you to start up your own brand? I have always wanted to work for myself and do something a bit creative. After studying at university, I opened my own shop in Birmingham, I then launched ILoveKitsch online and started to do big events across the country. I like to get out and about and meet my customers! How long have you been established and what has been the response so far? ILoveKitsch is now in it's 10th year and I still love making new bits and bobs! ILoveKitsch just keeps on growing which is great, this is my first time at Hyper Japan so I hope to be back in following years, I visited Japan 18 months ago and loved it! What other parts of HYPER JAPAN 2012 Spring are you looking forward too? I love sushi! The cosplay kids always look amazing so I'm looking forward to seeing their outfits too!
What is your must have or spotlight item? I have a range of 'fake' taxidermy at moment which is going really well! I love them all and never want to sell them though as they are too cute!
